Getting Those Winter Coals Burning, or The Tao is a Wow

What is better than crowding around some hot coals when it’s cold, watching your food cook, waiting in eager anticipation? I love these traditional charcoal stoves or a traditional charcoal stove large. Place a metal mesh over it and they make great BBQs as well as being good for woks. If you’ve got a spot for one of these outside, then that’s a great adventure!

If it’s just not practical to get outside in this cold, don’t worry these Thai clay pots can be used inside to make a delicious Tom Yum or Tom Kha soup for example. They gently radiate their heat and the flame will keep the soup piping hot at the table! Take care of your table of course, with some form of heat protection first, like a simple non-flammable mat.
