This large 100% cotton open weave cheesecloth is favored by some Thai cooks to prepare Thai sticky rice. After soaking the sticky rice grains at least four hours, steam over boiling water in our coned-shaped bamboo steaming basket covered with a pot lid and the cheesecloth until steamed through (10-30 minutes). Once cooked, keep the sticky rice moist by covering with the dampened cheesecloth or transfer to our individual bamboo serving baskets.
Cheesecloth can also be used to act as a sieve for making homemade coconut milk, soy milk and Thai coffee
