Kanom Krok Flour, AC, 15.0 oz
Kanom Krok Flour is a convenient flour mix to make the popular Thai street snack, Kanom Krok, also known as Coconut-Rice Pancakes. Prepared with sweetened coconut milk, ground rice and rice flour, this market treat is a favorite morning and mid-day snack in Thailand. Cooking instructions are included on the package and here below.
Recipe for Kanom Krok: Combine 1 1/2 cups of coconut milk and 1 bag of Kanom Krok Flour. Mix well. Boil 2 cups of water and pour it in while it's hot, mix well, then let sit.
Prepare the Topping: Mix together 1 cup of coconut cream, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Cooking Instructions: Put kanom krok pan on a low heat stove then apply vegetable oil in each hole of the pan (just enough to coat the pan). When the pan is hot, pour the prepared kanom krok batter into each of the holes (until about 3/4 full, allowing room for topping) then follow with the topping. Cover for 5-8 minutes then open the lid to check on your kanom with a spoon. When the kanom are slightly crispy they are ready.
