Chinese Radish (pak gat gua or chai tao ผักกาดหัว ไชเท้า in Thai) is known more commonly as daikon radish and is normally used in Thai cuisine in clear soups or for preparing soup stocks.
This large white-fleshed turnip-like vegetable has a mild peppery taste. Daikon is widely consumed throughout Asia, especially in Japan, Korea and China.
